Ayo Oppenheimer is a born teacher who connects with students and has the ability to break down complicated moves with ease. Ayo firmly believes that everyone can benefit from acroyoga regardless of level or perceived ability. Beyond her training and teaching experience, Ayo has a lightness and an uplifting positivity to her. She is the type of teacher who will take her time with you, tailor content to meet the needs of your audience and – most importantly – be present with you.
Ayo comes to acroyoga with an aerials background in silks, hoop and trapeze, and a dance background of fifteen years with performing arts companies on the East Coast. Ayo was formally introduced to acroyoga four years ago and has immersed herself in the practice and the fun of it ever since with classes, jams, retreats and training sessions. While in Austin, Ayo taught acroyoga locally and she just completed her 200-hour Acroyoga Montreal teacher certification in July 2014. Ayo now teaches three weekly classes in Jerusalem, Israel where she resides and is excited to use acroyoga as a tool for social impact and engagement.
Ayo has a bright “can-do!” attitude and is available for classes, private and couple’s lessons, team building workshops and summer camp sessions. When not playing acroyoga, Ayo works on educational start-up projects and social justice initiatives and spends time with her family in Jerusalem.
