I was first introduced to the movement arts in Creative Dance and Yoga classes throughout my childhood. Since then, I have continued to have a regular Yoga practice, and in more recent years, a regular Acroyoga practice. Though my love for individual Yoga remains strong, Acroyoga has opened up an opportunity to use my body and mind in collaboration with others - challenging and developing my trust and communication skills while pushing my strength, flexibility and coordination to new levels. Falling head of heels for this practice in Ottawa some years ago, I was lucky enough to be surrounded by a community of equally enthusiastic and incredibly supportive Acroyogis.
I went on to complete Acroyoga Montreal’s teacher training in July 2014, and have since also completed the Acrorevolution teacher training in April 2015.
I have been running classes with fellow Acroyoga Montreal teacher, Poppy Herbison for the past year in Nelson, BC. In our classes, we aimed to create a fun, safe and inclusive environment to give newcomers the skills and technique required for a solid foundation in Acroyoga. For those with more experience, we are able to offer new repertoire, more challenging variations and opportunities for creative process.
I am currently based in Australia, and will soon be updating my location and information about classes and events I am involved in.
