Sally began a regular yoga practice in 2005 as a pain management strategy, and has been humbled and delighted by its unexpected dimensions that have unfolded over the years. After a long period of disciplined Bikram, her practice moved both inward to meditation and spiritual development and outward, to partner and acroyoga, which she discovered on a beautiful day in Central Park. As her acro practice continued, she assembled a renegade band of acro yogis in Charleston, South Carolina, and a secret interstate society of Lady Bases, and picked up her 200 hour yoga teacher certification and her Level One AcroYoga Montreal certification along the way. You can now find her in Washington, D.C., where she continues to revel in the connection and playfulness that acroyoga cultivates, and the patience and care that practitioners show to one another. She loves flying, basing, spotting, teaching, and learning, and considers every acro yogi she plays with to be family.
